Wisconsin Industrial Hemp Research Pilot Program

Starting in 2018, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, WI DATCP, began its industrial hemp research pilot program. This program allowed both growers and processors to plant/process industrial hemp in the state of Wisconsin once they obtain one-time licenses and register each year. The program has several regulations over the growing, harvesting, and processing of industrial hemp. Accelerated Cannabis Laboratories is ready to help you with all of your sampling and testing requirements. WI DATCP’s regulations are as follows:

  • Each field and plant variety shall be sampled and tested by DATCP.
  • Each field and plant variety must test below 0.3% THC.
  • One re-test per failed field or plant variety is allowed.
  • Must destroy crops for any fields and plant varieties that fail both the initial test and the re-test.

Accelerated Cannabis Laboratories can monitor your THC levels throughout the growing process to ensure your crop has the maximum amount of time for growth without exceeding the 0.3% THC limit. We can help you track your THC levels so you know exactly when to contact the WI DATCP and harvest. Don’t bet the farm on waiting for analysis until it is too late.

Accelerated Cannabis Laboratories can provide a variety of additional services for your crop as well. Our certificates of analysis will help your product stand out against the competition. See our complete offering of Plant Services for more details. Contact Us with any regulatory questions or to discuss any of your testing needs.
